It's been raining cats and dogs

It's been raining since Thursday. Of course this was the weekend we were putting out 4X8s.

Turns out the wet ground helped make the process easier. We could knock the posts into the ground in no time flat.

Men, women, people in shape, out of shape, anyone and everyone has been helping with the signs. My husband even put his law books aside and went out in the truck with my brother.

It's been fun. Folks in and out of my house throughout the day.

I'm looking at my husband and brother now... it's one of those "kitchen cabinet" meetings. Well, the reason I can write this blog is that the two of them of no longer "here." They're suffering from exhaustion and the conversation is not very cerebral.

The fact is we're all too tired to talk about politics right now. So the meeting is over. And the discussion has gone to the dogs. Literally everyone is playing with Pongo and Maggie Jane.

I think volunteers are still working, putting signs out.

Whew... when it rains it pours. Maybe it'll let up tomorrow...
