Beware of the ants when putting up signs

Posted April 6, 2008

Ooh... what a nightmare. We've been putting up the big signs -- the 4X8s.

We were working all day. I was getting tired. My brother was getting tired, and he was starving.

And then it happened. I wasn't looking where I was going. And I stepped in it. It was a huge ant hill. One of the biggest I'd seen.

Ants were suddenly crawling up my legs and made their way into my shoes. It was awful. I wanted to quit. But I also wanted to put that next sign up. We'd paid so much for them. I can't stand the thought of them sitting in my garage.

So I brushed off what ants I could and went back to work. It was an uncomfortable moment for sure. And, yes, I'm still suffering from the ant attack... but we got those signs up.

Tomorrow is another day.

Back on the campaign trail.
