Adamson 2008 picks up steam
Posted January 11, 2008
Based on the number of comments I've received, I can see that my campaign has much work to do between now and the November 2008 election. That's fine. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and that's a good thing because I tend to wheeze when I sprint and often cough up hairballs in the process.
At any rate, what would you have me do as your president? I think most candidates go ahead and formulate a platform without first finding out what voters want.
Just let me know, then I'll know what issues to campaign on.
Before we take that step, however, you should know that running for President is not an inexpensive proposition. I need money for print and broadcast advertising, billboards, office staff, premium beer and cars.
What I'm asking today is that when you send in you request for what I should do as your leader, please include a donation to my campaign.
It can be $100, $1,000 or $5,000. Or if one of you wants to pony up $10 million (you know who you are, Mr. Gates) that's good, too.
Hope to hear from you soon.
And remember, I am the ultimate Washington outsider because I've never even been to Washington. I have been to Norfolk, Va., though.
It's a nice place with a beach.
