PENDLETON - Mr. and Mrs. Benny R. Kelly of Pendleton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 21, 2007 at the home of their daughter, Karen. The reception was hosted by their children. The couple were married Oct. 25, 1957 in Hartwell, GA. Patsy is the former Patsy Brock, the daughter of the late Ernest and Ollie Mae Brock. Benny is the son of Lillie Mae Kelly Giles and the late Alvin Kelly. The couple have four children, Karen Ladd, Kathy Musick, Kenny Kelly and Benji Kelly, all of Pendleton. The have eight grandchildren, Jeremy Ladd, Kayla Smith, Jon David Musick, Nathan Musick, Kelli Musick, Hannah Kelly, Shaylie Kelly and Jordan Kelly. The couple attribute their long lasting marriage to commitment to one another and their faith in God.

ANDERSON - Kaela Brooke Burdette and Johnny Lee Loftis were married Nov. 10, 2007 at Middleton Road Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Jerald and Lynne Burdette of Iva, SC. She is the granddaughter of Alice Mabrey of Anderson, and the late Donnie Ray Chambers, Linda Burdette of Iva, and the late Hank Burdette. Great-grandmothers are Flora Henry of Anderson, and Manilla Hanks of Iva. The groom is the son of Edd and Linda Loftis of Anderson. He is the grandson of the late David and Frances Davis and the late Reed and Gladys Loftis. Maid of Honor was Jennifer Burdette of Iva, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Isbell of Anderson, cousin of the bride, Shannon Burton and Kristen Scarborough of Anderson, Vickie Brucke of Iva and Janet Moore of Belton. Junior Bridesmaids were Kelsey Phillips of Iva and Samantha Loftis of Starr, niece of the groom. Best Man was Edd Loftis of Anderson, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Eddie Loftis of Starr, brother of the groom, Phillip Burdette of Iva, brother of the bride, Wesley Scarborough and Chris Cantrell of Anderson, and Anthony Brucke of Iva. Ushers were Hunter Hanna, and Dustin Phillips of Iva. Flower Girls were Kynlee and Karlyn Earnest of Iva, god sisters to the bride. Ring Bearer was Jeremiah Burdette of Iva, cousin of the bride and Chastan Hanna of Iva. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Dixie High School and a 2006 graduate of Tri-County. She is a cosmetologist at Sharley's Salon and Boutique in Anderson. The groom is a 1999 graduate of Westside High School and a 2002 graduate of Tri- County. He is employed with AAA Glass in Anderson. After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the couple will reside in Anderson.

CENTRAL, SC - Holly Elizabeth Hardin and Dwight Keith Hutchenson, both of Central, were married at 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2007, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Central, with Pastor Winn Collier of Downtown Community Fellowship of Clemson, S.C., officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Lambert Hardin of Fairmont, N.C. She is the granddaughter of Virginia Owen and the late Warren Owen of Hilton Head, S.C. and Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Hardin of Fairmont, N.C. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hutchenson of Lincoln University, Pa. He is the grandson of Rev. and Mrs. James C. Hunnicutt and Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Shull, Jr., all of Wagener, S.C. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a Claire Pettibone dress of ivory beaded web lace with a cotton lace skirt lined in blush silk charmeuse. She carried a French hand-tied bouquet of antique ivory Sahara roses, Porcelana spray roses and seeded eucalyptus with ivory satin ribbons. The maid of honor was the bride's friend, Kelly McCracken of Atlanta, GA. The matron of honor was the bride's sister, Ginger Friesen of Napierville, IL. The bridesmaids were the groom's sister, Amanda Hutchenson; the bride's cousin, Kate McDaniel; the bride's friends, Kelsie Johnson and Blaire Riddle. The bridesmaids wore tea-length tiered nu-georgette dresses in midnight blue and carried French hand-tied bouquets of Elsie, Sahara and Leonidis roses, French hydrangea, blue thistle and seeded eucalyptus. The best man was the groom's friend, Adam Thompson. The groomsmen were the groom's friends Jesse Baumgarner, Stephen Cross, William Eby, Robert Gill and Kelly Hines. Ringbearers were Chase Gyles, the bride's cousin, and Bauer Friesen, the bride's nephew. The wedding planner and director was Marty Kern. The program and guest book attendants were Sarah Shipe and Eric Johnson. Sound was handled by Brian Wolf. The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at the outdoor Virginia and Warren Owen Pavilion beside Lake Hartwell on the campus of Clemson University. A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at the Blue Heron Restaurant and Sushi Bar in Clemson, S.C. Bridal courtesies included a wedding-day brunch at the Main Street Deli and Coffeehouse in Central, hosted by members of the bride's extended family. The bride is a graduate of Avalon Academy in Dillon, S.C. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. She is the Associate Director of Major Events for Littlejohn Coliseum at Clemson University. The bridegroom is a graduate of Avon Grove High School in West Grove, Pa. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and is obtaining his master's degree from Clemson University. After a honeymoon trip to the Isle of Crete in Greece, the couple will reside in Central.

Matron of Honor was the bride's sister, Candice McGregor. Best Man was the groom's cousin from Easley, Edward Chapel. After the wedding the couple left for their honeymoon in the Bahamas.

The groom is the son of Judy Brady of Honea Path, SC and the late Owen Brady. He is the grandson of Mrs. Exie McClain and Mrs. Etta Brady. Maid of Honor was Mrs. Angela Larsen of Greenville, SC, sister of the bride. Best Man was Mr. Chris Brady of Honea Path, brother of the groom. After a wedding trip to the Islands, the couple will reside in Honea Path.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simplicio Balibag of San Francisco, CA and Mrs. Inez Kimsey of Anderson, and the late Charles Edwin Kimsey, Jr. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and is currently pursuing her Masters in Landscape Architecture at Clemson University. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Douglas Blake of Fountain Inn, SC. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Rice of Fountain Inn, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Raymond Blake, of Franklinville, NC. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Civil Engineering and is a civil engineer with Design South Professionals in Anderson. Maid of Honor was Allison King of Atlanta, GA. Bridesmaids were Bethany Bennett of Chesapeake, VA, Mary Bradford of Asheville, NC, and Katie Torrance of Charleston, SC. The Best Man was the groom¹s father, James Douglas Blake of Fountain Inn, SC. Groomsmen were Jeremy Blake of Fountain Inn, Bee Baker of Bluffton, SC and Luke Walters of Miami, FL. Following a honeymoon to Cumberland Island, GA, the couple will reside in Anderson.
