Oconee County 31, Elbert County 13: Blue Devils lose eighth in a row

7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at home vs. No. 2 Stephens County (9-0, 5-0), which won the 8-AAA region championship Friday with a 20-7 victory over Hart County (7-1-1, 5-1).

— A 2007 season that opened with a 14-6 victory over Crescent looks as if it might end with nine consecutive losses for the Elbert County Blue Devils.

The Blue Devils suffered their eighth consecutive loss Friday night, falling to Oconee County (4-5, 3-2).

Elbert County ends its season next week with a home game against second-ranked Stephens County (9-0, 5-0), which won the region championship Friday with a 20-7 victory over hart County (7-1-1, 5-1).

Elbert County was coming off a 48-14 loss to Monroe Area.

Oconee County was coming off a 34-7 loss to Hart County.
