How they got here: Cherokee beat Dalton 21-19 last week in the first round. The Warriors finished fourth in Region 5. Habersham beat Marist last week 24-7. The Raiders won Region 8A.
Cherokee: RB John Valentine rushed for 111 yards last week on 16 attempts, including a 60-yard touchdown in the first half. Habersham: WR Tavarres King had 12 catches for 154 yards last week and two touchdowns. For the season, King, a Georgia commit, has 85 catches for 1,433 yards and 15 touchdowns. DB Josh Anderson leads the Raiders with five interceptions
Lowdown: The winner plays the Banneker-Ware County winner. This is the second straight year these teams have met in the second round. Habersham won last year 28-26. Cherokee also runs the wishbone. The Warriors have won two straight after losing three in a row. Habersham has scored at least 40 points five times. The Raiders have allowed 17 total points in their last three games.
