How they got here: Habersham beat Cherokee last week 36-35 in double overtime. The Raiders beat Marist 24-7 in the first round. Ware County beat Banneker last week, 29-7, and Americus-Sumter in the first round, 27-12.

Habersham: WR Tavarres King, a Georgia commit, had six catches last week for 138 yards and two touchdowns. King averages 130.9 receiving yards per game, with 17 touchdowns. RBs Robert Renshaw (18 TDs) and Zach Chitwood (4 TDs) have combined for 1,506 yards and 22 touchdowns. Ware County: RB Dimitris White is the go-to guy. He had an 80-yard touchdown run in the regular season finale to clinch the region title.

Lowdown: The winner plays the Thomas County Central-East Paulding winner in the Georgia Dome next week. The road trip for the Raiders is 295 miles, which is about six hours-plus by bus. After starting 2-2, Ware County has won eight straight. The Gators outscore opponents 22-10, while Habersham does 34-12. Habersham has scored at least 33 points eight times. Ware County has won four region titles in the last five years. Ware County hasn’t been to this round in the playoffs since ’04 when it lost to Warner Robins, 40-0. Habersham lost in this round last year to North Side Warner Robins, 34-0.

Prediction: Ware County 35, Habersham 28
