ANDERSON, SC - Anne Marie Martin and Gerald Mark Grant were married August 9, 2008 at Oakwood Baptist Church with Rev. Brent D. Armstrong officiating. A reception followed at the church. The bride is the daughter of Barbie J. and Daniel J. Martin of Anderson. She is the granddaughter of Jean W. Jackson and the late Elbert L. Jackson and the late Dr. and Mrs. J. Robert Martin. The groom is the son of Sherri D. and Timothy W. Grant of Pendleton, SC. He is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Jack Dean and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Grant. Maid of Honor was Carissa M. Burgess of Anderson. Bridesmaids were Christine Casey of Manchester, NH, Jennifer Armstrong of Anderson, and Maria Sundberg of Greenville, SC, all friends of bride and Stephanie Grant of Pendleton, SC, sister of groom. Best Man was Timothy W. Grant, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Aaron Burkett of Hudson, NH, and Paolo Varvaro of Greenville, friends of groom and Daniel Grant of Rosedale, MD, and Jack Grant, Pendleton, SC, brothers of groom. The bride is currently working as a barista at Starbucks in Greenville and the groom is pursuing a career in law enforcement. After a wedding trip to the mountains of Tennessee, the couple will reside in Greenville.
