ANDERSON COUNTY A pursuit in Anderson County of a motorist who refused to stop for a law enforcement official ended when the chase went off road, causing the fleeing vehicle to become stuck in dirt moments before the pursuing vehicle became stuck on a stump.
According to the incident report, Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputy J. F. Marano pursued a 1993 Honda Civic with a stolen tag about noon Friday at Camelot Forest and Mahaffey roads in Belton.
Marano said the driver of the Honda escaped arrest when he fled on foot through a horse pen and disappeared behind a house, the report said.
No one was reported injured in the chase. But the extent of damage to the deputy’s patrol vehicle is not immediately known.

We're just lucky the cop didn't kill any innocent civilians during the chase.
