ANDERSON COUNTY After a night of romance at an Anderson motel, a 46-year-old man told city police that his “date” dumped him for his 2002 Buick.
The theft took place between after midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Southerner Motor Lodge on Williamston Road, according to the incident report.
The victim, who was left sleeping in the motel room, told police that he only knew the woman’s first name and had picked her up on West Whitner Street, the report states.
The man told police that “the female does probably smoke crack and there is a good chance that she is a prostitute,” Officer James Shelton said in his report.
