Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Brewer

ANDERSON, SC - Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Brewer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 2, 2008 with a reception held at Forest Hills Baptist Church, hosted by the couple's children and grandchildren. The couple were married August 1, 1958 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Anderson. Mrs. Brewer is the former Sue Dempsey Brewer, daughter of the late Elsie Fortner Dempsey and Walter Thomas Dempsey. Fred is the son of the late Mattie Thompson Brewer and Robert Rone Brewer. The couple have two daughters, Suzanne Dorene "Dorrie" Kendrick and husband Dale, of Aiken, SC and Maria Lenee Brewer of Anderson. The also have two grandchildren, Sarah Kendrick and Robin Kendrick, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Brewer is owner of Apple Blossom Florist and Mr. Brewer is retired from BASF. Past Tyme, a blue grass band, provided entertainment and was joined by guest vocalist, Philip Cheney. In addition to Mr. Brewer's brother Harold, band members include; David Burton, Steve Snellgrove, Buddy Hale, Thomas Baughman and Edgar Preseau.The Brewers wish to thank their children, grandchildren, family and friends for making this anniversary truly unforgettable.
