Milliken & Co. has acquired Western Nonwoven Inc.’s fire-retardant barrier assets and geotextile business out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Milliken will continue to manufacture Wester’s Esyntial Safe products under Milliken’s Paladin brand. Milliken also will gain access to the Sandmat product line, which will continue under the same brand.
Based in Spartanburg, Milliken & Co. is one of the world’s largest privately held textile, chemical and carpet manufacturers.
