Dr. William Buice awarded for leadership in cancer care

ANDERSON — Dr. William Buice has received the Commission on Cancer’s Cancer Liaison Physician Outstanding Performance Award. Buice is one of 55 physicians nationwide to receive the award. Buice is a general surgery physician with Piedmont Surgical Associates P.A. in the Oglesby Center. He has served as medical director of oncology services and as AnMed Health’s cancer liaison physician for three years.

Cancer liaison physicians lead efforts to establish, maintain and support their facility’s cancer program. The Cancer Liaison Physician Outstanding Performance Award recognizes those who exceed expectations in improving their cancer treatment program.
