The South Carolina State Guard is pleased to announce that Pvt. Andrew Reynolds of Pelzer has graduated from the Warrior Leaders Course. The Warrior Leaders Course (WLC) is the first step in the Noncommissioned Officer Education System. The WLC trains soldiers in basic leadership skills, noncommissioned officer (NCO) duties, responsibility and authority, how to conduct performance-orientated training and the history of the SCSG and Drill and Ceremonies. Pvt. Reynolds is a member of the Fourth Battalion, Second Brigade of the South Carolina State Guard.

Since joining the South Carolina State Guard, Pvt. Reynolds has completed the Basic Training, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Unarmed Combat courses.

Pvt. Reynolds is the son of Ronald and Donna Reynolds of Pelzer.

PFC Walker Stewart of Anderson has graduated from the Warrior Leaders Course. The Warrior Leaders Course (WLC) is the first step in the Noncommissioned Officer Education System. The WLC trains soldiers in basic leadership skills, noncommissioned officer (NCO) duties, responsibility and authority, and how to conduct performance-orientated training, the history of the SCSG and Drill and Ceremonies. PFC Stewart is a member of the Fourth Battalion, Second Brigade of the South Carolina State Guard.

Since joining the South Carolina State Guard, PFC Stewart has completed the Basic Training, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Unarmed Combat courses. He has earned Proficiency and Service ribbons.

PFC Stewart is the husband of Chasity Stewart.

The South Carolina State Guard is pleased to announce that Sgt. Valas Williams of Piedmont has graduated from the Raider Course. Unlike other courses offered by the SC State Guard, Honor Graduate in this course is not determined by grades, but instead by a majority vote by classmates. Sgt. Williams was unanimously voted Honor Graduate. The Raider Course is designed to provide soldiers with training in Leadership Skills, Land Navigation, Map Reading, Field First Aid, Leader Technical and Tactical Values, Attributes, Skills, and Actions needed to lead a platoon size unit. Sgt. Williams is a member of the Fourth Battalion, Second Brigade of the South Carolina State Guard.

Since joining the South Carolina State Guard, Sgt. Williams has also completed the Basic Training, Warrior Leader, Basic Noncommissioned Officer, and several FEMA courses. In addition, he has earned Humanitarian Service ribbon with 3 oak leaf clusters, Military Readiness and Military Proficiency ribbons, Service ribbon with a star, State Guard Association of the US ribbon, and MEMS certification.

Sgt. Williams is the husband of Linda Williams.
