— Eddie Bernard Lindsey was convicted of armed robbery and assault and battery with intent to kill Thursday in Anderson General Sessions Court.

Judge Michael Baxley sentenced Lindsey to 30 years for armed robbery and 20 years for assault and battery with intent to kill. Both sentences are the maximum for the charge and should be served concurrently.

In March 2003, Lindsey robbed a liquor store in Anderson and assaulted a 77-year-old employee. According to the solicitor’s office, he attacked his victim with a brick resulting in serious brain injuries.

Lindsey has previously been convicted of strong armed robbery, criminal domestic violence, assault and battery, and criminal sexual conduct.
