$100k bond ordered for man accused of rape in Anderson County

— An Anderson County judge has ordered a six-digit bond for a 39-year-old man accused of rape and violating an order of protection.

Larry Groves, 39, of 401 Ivy Circle in Anderson was arrested Wednesday.

Groves, who was in custody in the Anderson County Detention Center as of Thursday afternoon, is charged with criminal sexual conduct and violating an order of protection, according to Detention Center records.

A $100,000 property bond was ordered for the charge of criminal sexual conduct, and a $1,092.50 property bond was ordered for the charge of violating an order of protection, according to detention records.

No other details were provided by the Sheriff’s Office.
