The Woodmen of the World, Westminster Camp No. 42, donated $1,800 to the Oconee Medical Center Lifeline program. According to a news release, the donation will be used to purchase additional Lifeline units for the communty.
The Lifeline program enables clients to call for help by pushing a button which is worn around the neck or wrist. The button calls the Oconee Medical Center's dispatch team. Appropriate emergency personnel or the client's designated contact are then alerted that help is needed.
