COLUMBIA, S.C. Hundreds of extras are needed for background work in the new film "Nailed" starring Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by David O. Russell.
Casting directors are searching for many people, especially girls ages 7 to 12 years old, to work as extras on the film which will start shooting this spring in the Columbia area.
Interested parties should bring a non-returnable current snapshot of themselves. No photos will be taken at the casting call. They can be anything, including digital photos printed from a computer or a Polaroid. All they ask is that the shot is current.
"Nailed" is an original comedy about a small-town waitress who gets a nail lodged in her head which causes some unpredictable behavior. That leads her to Washington, D.C. where a young, but clueless, senator takes up her cause.
Casting for girls ages 7 to 12 will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at the Dutch Square Mall (Center Court), 421 Bush River Road in Columbia. Casting for all extras will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, in the same location.
Production is also looking for vehicles from the '50s, '70s and '90s. Photos of vehicles may be brought to the casting call or those with such vehicles can contact the production crew at nailedcasting@gmail.com.
