STORY TOOLS

— For the first time since staying in Greenville while shooting the film "Leatherheads" more than a year ago, George Clooney and Renee Zellweger will return to the Upstate Thursday as the last stop on the film's Whistle Stop Express Tour.

Mr. Clooney and Ms. Zellweger will be at the Westin Poinsett Hotel, 120 S. Main St. in downtown Greenville at 11 a.m. to receive a key to the city during a special presentation.

Previous stops on the tour included Duluth, Minn., Maysville, Ky. and Salisbury, N.C.

The event begins at 11 a.m. and is open to the public.

"Leatherheads" is a romantic comedy set in the 1920s. Mr. Clooney plays "Dodge" Connely, an owner/player on a professional football team, who gets the top college player in the country (played by John Krasinski) to play for his Duluth Bulldogs. However, both players fall for reporter Lexie Littleton (Ms. Zellweger).

The film was shot throughout South Carolina including Anderson, Greer, Spartanburg and more. "Leatherheads" opens nationwide on April 4.
