Anderson County Fraternal Order of Police to have blood drive

— The Anderson County Fraternal Order of Police will sponsor a blood drive from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, 305 Camson Road.

The blood drive is running during Police Memorial week Sunday through May 17 to remember those officers from Anderson County who have died in the line of duty.

Also on Thursday, Police Memorial Day, the annual Law Enforcement Memorial Services, will be held at 6 p.m. at the Anderson County Courthouse. This is to honor those officers who were killed in the line of duty in 2007 and to remember those from Anderson County who have died in the line of duty.

The public is invited to these services.
