CLEMSON UNIVERSITY Barbara Zaczek, professor of Italian, has been selected as the interim chair of the Clemson University languages department.
Zaczek has been a member of the Clemson faculty since 1993. In addition to standard language and literature courses, she has taught interdisciplinary courses combining comparative literature, literary and feminist theory, history and art.
Her current research interests focus on representation of Fascism and World War II, especially the questions of memory and identity, in recent Italian and Eastern European fiction.
