Events to raise money in Anderson for children with special needs

— The Anderson Motor Speedway will be the site Saturday, March 17, for events to raise money and awareness for programs that help children with special needs.

The 7th annual Family Connection Children with Special Needs Amazing Ride for Amazing Children will begin with registration at 11 a.m. at the Speedway.

A $700 prize will be awarded for the best hand, and a $300 prize will be awarded for the second best hand. The worst hand will receive $50.

A Disabilities Awareness Walk will begin with registration at 10:30 a.m. The walk, which will extend less than a mile, will start at 11.

The day will feature door prizes, food and drinks, a dunking booth, a motorcycle show, inflatables and music. Festivities will end at 4 p.m.
