David Reinking, professor of education at Clemson University, has been inducted into the Reading Hall of Fame. The induction took place in Atlanta during the International Reading Association’s 53rd annual convention.

Reinking, the Eugene T. Moore Professor of Teacher Education in Clemson’s Eugene T. Moore School of Education, is vice president of the National Reading Conference. He will serve as the organization’s president in 2009.

He also has served as editor for the Journal of Literacy Research as well as co-editor of Reading Research Quarterly.

The International Reading Association serves 85,000 members in 100 countries. The organization strives to improve the quality of reading, literacy and communication worldwide.
