PENDLETON, SC - Sunny Leighann Owens and William Russell Wells were married October 4, 2008 at Woodburn Plantation with Dr. David Bailey officiating. A reception followed. The bride is the daughter of Frankie Thompson Owens of Anderson, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Frank and Glenda Reynolds, Ruby Holbrook and the late Dayton Holbrook and the late Major Frank R. Thompson and Frances Swittenberg Thompson. The groom is the son of Brenda Cheek of Belton, S.C. and Wayne Wells of Abbeville, S.C. He is the grandson of Darrell and Frances Brown and Mary Wells and the late Pete Wells. Maid of honor was Jamie Tollison of Anderson, friend of the bride. Matron of honor was Lindsey Henderson of Charleston, S.C., friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jane Burns of Anderson, aunt of bride, Heather Holmes of Charleston, friend of the bride, Kendal Day of Greenville, S.C., sister of the bride, Hannah Bailey of Anderson, cousin of the bride and Jennifer Weeke of Greenville, friend of bride. Best man was Wayne Wells, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Zac Lazar of Townville, S.C., friend of the groom, Chris Mumblow of Belton S.C., friend of the groom, Jonathan Wells of Belton, cousin of the groom, Danny Tomlinson of Anderson, friend of the groom and Richard Hicks of Anderson, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Riley Kaiden Owens of Anderson, nephew of the bride. After a wedding trip to Dunns River, Jamaica the couple will reside in Anderson.
