Westside's Roberts to coach all-stars

STORY TOOLS

Westside girls basketball coach Jackie Roberts was named Thursday to coach the North All-Star team in the North-South Senior All-Star game on March 21, 2009 at North Myrtle Beach High School.

This is Roberts’ 11th season coaching the Lady Rams. She has a 177-62 record. Roberts played in the all-star game in 1987 with Westside teammate Stacey Ford, coached by legendary former Westside coach William Roberts. Jackie Roberts has also coached former Lady Rams all-stars Nicole Mattison and Katrina Goss, who played in the North Carolina-South Carolina games.

“I am very blessed to have worked with so many young and talented people,” Roberts said. “I would not be in this position without the support of my family, my players’ parents, and the Westside High School community.”
