The West Carolina Rural Telephone Cooperative's board of directors has authorized the refund of capital credits in the amount of $2 million.
Cooperative members who received telecommunication and entertainment services from West Carolina during 1990 and/or 2007 will be eligible for a capital credit refund.
West Carolina Rural Telephone Cooperative Inc. was formed in 1952. It serves the rural areas of Abbeville and McCormick and the Starr and Iva areas of Anderson County. The company has offered services to the towns of Abbeville, McCormick and Calhoun Falls since September 2003.
