Stephens County doubles Warriors

STORY TOOLS

— The Indians stopped Oconee County’s roaring start to Region 8-AAA play. The Warriors (2-4, 2-1), who went 0-3 in non-region play, were the only team next to Eastside to start league play with two wins. But thanks to 380 rushing yards, the Indians doubled up the visitors.

Ren Teasley was the rushing star for Stephens with 262 yards and a TD. Dre Cunningham added 92 yards and two scores as the Tribe (4-2, 2-1) moved above .500 in region play.

Stephens travels to Morgan County next week.
