The no-brainer selection is B-HP sophomore tailback Charles “Peewee” Lindsey, who had 99 rushing yards and four touchdowns to beat Pickens.
Other notable nominees include the Pendleton offensive line, which helped the Bulldogs rush for 269 yards on 36 carries in a win over Liberty. Stephens County senior running back Ren Teasley scored a touchdown to go with 262 rushing yards to help beat Oconee County. The Indians rushed for 380 yards.
But perhaps the biggest headline from Week 7 was Hart County’s defense against previously unbeaten Eastside in a 24-7 win. The Bulldogs held the Eagles to negative-19 rushing yards on 18 carries. For some perspective, the Eagles entered Friday averaging 30 points per game.
WEEK 7 PICKS
For those of you body-painted B-HP fans who reminded me of my Pickens 28-21 pregame prediction over your Bears, I want to hear your prediction for B-HP at Daniel this week. Log on to gofridayfootball.com and submit it in the forum.
As for my overall picks in Week 7, I went 10-5 to take my season mark to 65-28. My Week 7 losses were Pickens-B-HP, Emerald-Crescent, Woodruff-Palmetto, West-Oak-Woodmont, and Eastside-Hart County.
