Palmetto's Mosley, Abbeville's Elmore top 1,000 yards

STORY TOOLS

All season, Palmetto’s Stacey Mosley and Abbeville’s Dureal Elmore have been atop any major rushing chart.

Friday night may have been their best games of the season.

In a 37-34 win at Southside, Mosley had 22 carries for 277 yards and three touchdowns. Even after missing last week because of suspension, Mosley has 1,032 rushing yards

In a 31-14 win over Pendleton, Elmore rushed 30 times for 240 yards and two touchdowns. That brings his season yardage to 1,178 on the ground, with 12 scores.

Mosley and Elmore are the top two rushers in the area, and lead the rest of the top running backs by 200 yards.

I’ll cut this week’s game ball in half for each of them.
