Oconee council sets tax discussion with school officials

— The regular meeting of the Oconee County council, originally set for Tuesday, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 9 in the council’s meeting room at the Oconee County Administrative Offices, 415 South Pine Street. The council’s Sept. 16 meeting has also been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 23 in the council’s meeting room. The council has scheduled a Real Estate, Facilities and Land Management committee meeting for 5 p.m. Sept. 9 in the council chambers to discuss hangar development at the airport. The council has also scheduled a meeting with the School District of Oconee County for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 in the council’s meeting room to discuss possible fiscal autonomy for the school district.
