The sign was donated by Danny Tollison of Regal Sign Company, according to a CrimeStoppers news release.
Mattison was killed in late June at the age of 16 after being shot twice in River Oak Apartments on East River Street. Mattison was a student at Westside High School in Anderson.
Police have said the incident could have gang-related undertones. But Mattison’s father, Jerry Cowan, is adamant that his son was not involved in any gang activity.
