ANDERSON COUNTY A 26-year-old Anderson man is under investigation for breach of trust after he allegedly used his employer’s tow truck to help a friend in need.
According to an Anderson County Sheriff deputy, a truck belonging to Holiday Towing was taken for about an hour about 9 a.m. Tuesday from McGee Road in Anderson.
The driver told his employer that the truck was used “to do a personal job for a friend,” Deputy Kevin Pearson said in the report.
A woman’s vehicle was towed to a repair shop, and she was not charged for the tow, according to the report. The woman told Pearson that she “had not yet paid” for the service, but “she was awaiting a tow bill in the mail,” the report states.
The tow truck driver was terminated from his job.
