Cawthon appointed to international housing board

Tony Cawthon, professor of counselor education/student affairs in Clemson University’s Eugene T. Moore School of Education, has been elected knowledge enhancement director on the board of the Association of College and University Housing Officers - International. Cawthon took office during the 2008 ACUHO-I Annual Conference & Exposition. In his new role, Cawthon will provide leadership, support and coordination to ACUHO-I’s efforts to enhance research, knowledge and information in the profession.

Before joining the faculty, Cawthon spent 12 years in the university housing profession, most recently as director of residence life at Clemson. He recently served as editor of ACUHO-I’s publication The Journal of College and University Student Housing. He also is chairman the Eugene T. Moore School of Education’s department of leadership, counselor education and human organization development.
