— Police have detained a man and a woman in connection with carjackings in Pickens and Greenville counties Saturday and Sunday.

Authorities said a man carjacked a 39-year-old man at gunpoint about 9:30 a.m. Sunday at a Pickens County restaurant.

According to a Pickens County Sheriff’s Office report, the man approached a employee of the Pickens County restaurant, Aunt Sue’s Restaurant, 107 Country Creek Drive, and pointed a gun at his head and demanded the man’s car.

The victim said the man pointed what he described as a four-barreled pistol at the victim and told him not to look at him, according to the report.

The victim asked the carjacker, described as 5-foot-10, 180 pounds and in his 30s, to let him keep the restaurant door key. The carjacker took the key off a key ring and threw it across the parking lot, according to the report.

The victim said the carjacker, who took the man’s 1994 Toyota Tacoma, may have had a woman with him. The truck was located later on S.C. 288 in Greenville County.

Authorities say a short time later, the man was spotted by a Greenville County sheriff’s deputy on Pumpkintown Road. The man led police on a chase that ended on Cherokee Lane, where he fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male with a goatee, was wearing shorts and a camouflage-black hoodie. He is also suspected in an armed carjacking of a 17-year old Saturday afternoon in Greenville County at Jones Gap State Park.

What is a "four-barreled" pistol?

They are rare, but they DO exist! They are kind of like a "Derringer," but with four barrels, instead of the usual two.

Good thing he was a "white male" or the description would never have been printed.

Why is everyone so racist and miserable? So many people get on here to post comments that have NOTHING (or nothing worth reading - XCOYA-) to do with the reported story...I hope they catch this man/woman and get him/them off of the street!
