Fifth-grade students in Teta Maness’ class at Midway Elementary School of Science and Engineering take turns riding a Segway scooter, a two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicle.

Helping them learn to ride is Mandy Orzechowski, Project Lead the Way teacher of Tri-County Technical College.

The PLTW engineering programs at Tri-County and Midway have partnered together to provide specialized learning for Midway students.
