First Church of Christ, Scientist-Seneca/Clemson will sponsor a talk titled “The Healing Power of the Bible” at 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Anderson County Library, 300 N. McDuffie St. in downtown Anderson. The talk is free and open to the public.

The guest speaker will be Elise Moore, C.S.B., who has been in the full-time ministry of Christian healing for more than 25 years. She has presented talks around the world, visiting more than 200 cities in 13 countries. Moore has served as a chaplain for a homeless shelter, providing spiritual counseling and leading Bible study groups for five years. She also has organized numerous interfaith conferences and workshops and has worked for years with Spanish-speaking immigrants.

In her talk, Moore will discuss examples of healing Bible verses and effective ways to pray. She includes testimonies of healing of an abscessed tooth and a tumor. Those attending are encouraged to bring Bibles and join in this fascinating study.

First Church of Christ, Scientist-Seneca/Clemson is located at 507 S. Townville St., Seneca. For more information about the talk and directions to the library, call (864) 882-6227.
