D.W. Daniel (12-0) at Greenville (10-2)

Daniel: WR DeAndre Hopkins has 33 catches for 684 yards and 9 TDs. WR Antonio Cannon has 43 catches for 679 yards and 3 TDs. LB Bubba Bryant and DL Shaq Lawson lead the team with 3 sacks each. Greenville: WR Chris Hall has 35 catches for 849 yards and 12 TDs. RB A.J. Terry had 10 carries for 106 yards last week in the win over Riverside.

Lowdown: In the playoffs, Greenville has had shutout victories over West-Oak and Riverside, while Daniel dispatched of Berea, but needed a late INT to hang on against Chester. Greenville’s only losses came at home to Fort Dorchester and Gaffney in the season’s first 2 games. In the Gaffney game, Greenville gave up a 29-7 lead to lose 39-35. The last time Daniel visited Sirrine Stadium in 2007, the Lions beat the Red Raiders 35-23 when they picked off 6 passes and sacked Greenville 4 times. The winner plays the Clinton-Union County winner.

Prediction: Daniel 24, Greenville 21

Batesburg-Leesville (8-4) at Abbeville (11-1)

Batesburg-Leesville: QB K.J. Johnson has 315 rushing yards and 6 TDs. In the regular season he had 458 yards and 5 TDs. Abbeville: DLs Chris Tinch and Andrew Osborne have combined for 26 tackles for a loss, with 21 QB pressures. They each have 4 forced fumbles, which leads the team.

Lowdown: The visiting Panthers had 8 players, some starters going both ways, injured early in the season, but they’ve gotten healthy since midseason. This is the first time the teams have met since 2007, but they met every year from 1998-’07. Abbeville last made the Upper State championship in 2003. The teams have 3 common opponents in Keenan, Ware Shoals and Woodruff. B-L won at Woodruff last week, 24-17. Abbeville lost at Woodruff in Week 3, 36-35. The winner plays the Strom Thurmond-Central winner.

Prediction: Abbeville 28, Batesburg-Leesville 24
