Pickens police arrest eight on drug charges

— Pickens police arrested eight people Monday on various drug charges.

The arrests were the result of a nine-month narcotics investigation conducted by the Pickens Police Department, according to a department news release. Fifty-one narcotics warrants were obtained, of which 37 had been executed as of Wednesday afternoon. Other arrests are expected to follow as the investigation continues. Those arrested and the charges filed against them are:

  • Gregory Webb: conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack, distribution of crack near school
  • Patty L. Holloway: conspiracy to sell crack (two counts), distribution of crack (two counts), distribution of crack near school (two counts)
  • Carlton J. Holley Jr.: distribution of marijuana (three counts), distribution marijuana near school (three counts), conspiracy to sell marijuana
  • Fredrick L. Smith: conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack, distribution of crack near school
  • James N. Holloway: conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack, distribution of crack near school
  • Willis L. Earle: conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack (three counts), distribution of crack near school (three counts)
  • Darnell C. Russell: conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack (four counts), distribution of crack near school (four counts)
  • Terry Hallums Jr.: distribution of crack, distribution of crack near school
