CLEMSON People who are behind in mortgage payments are invited to attend a free clinic at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Clemson Community Care, 105 Anderson Highway, Clemson. The clinic will assist homeowners in taking steps to resolve mortgage arrears and prevent foreclosure.
The event is sponsored by the South Carolina Task Force on Foreclosure and the Upstate Homeless Coalition of South Carolina. A local partner for the Clemson clinic is the Upstate Homeless Coalition of South Carolina, a Greenville-based housing group with satellite offices in Anderson and Seneca.
Families are asked to take basic household budget information and copies of recent communications from lenders to the clinic. Advance registration for the clinic is required at (800) 254-8561 or (888) 320-0350.
