What happens when four families — 17 people in all — hop on a plane and go on vacation together? If it’s the Austin, Mills, Roose and Voisin families of Anderson, a lot of sightseeing, relaxing, shopping and good eating is what happens. The destination was Italy. The itinerary included a six-hour Vatican tour, gondola rides, vineyard tours, wine tastings, seafood sampling and driving excursions on the narrow, winding roads of Tuscany — all of it based from a 1500s-vintage stone castle they rented for the entire group.
