One of two 500,000-gallon water tanks that the city of Seneca owns stands above Allen Street. The above ground water storage towers were built in the 1970s, and the city added a 250,000-gallon tank in the 1980s. Seneca is beginning construction on a 1 million-gallon tank near Oconee Medical Center, one of two 1 million-gallon tanks the city plans to build.
