The crowd thinned as the Anderson County Fair closed Sunday. But over the past 10 days more families, seniors and children have come through the fair’s gates than officials have seen in years.
Gates to the 2007 Anderson County Fair opened at 4 p.m., with a line of family and children making their way to rides, food, and a bevy of entertainment. Indoor art, flower, food, and craft displays also drew attention, as well as the Junior Beef Show opening the livestock competitions.
Workers continued building rides, setting up food stations, and tents while area participants brought in entries for the indoor shows.
Trucks, trains, trailers, and tents, all moved around by hired hands of the Anderson County Fair, started making themselves at home as the days before Friday's opening near.
