In spite of a workload of 80,000 calls per year, DUI arrests are up, burglaries are down and hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs have been seized, he said.
“We’re getting the job done,” Crenshaw said.
Skipper said he could not say that residents are any safer than they were four years ago.
If these statements made by Crenshaw are true, I don't see how Skipper can legitimately question whether or not citizens were safer. It would seem that fewer burglaries and more drug arrests would tend to make for a safer community.

It's fine to be in support of law enforcement but he could have killed someone. Regardless of how hard working he may be he should be disciplined severely. What would have happened to a civillian in the same position? It seems people are always willing to make excuses for people in law enforcement. Whtat he did placed innocent people in danger. Something should be done. Do we wait until he falls asleep and kills someone just because he puts his life on the line let's be reasonable.

This seems to be another attempt by Cindy Wilson and her cronies to divert attention from important matters of Anderson County government. She and her cronies have done more harm to this county than anyone else in local government.
She questioned an alledged amount of credit card debt but she had no problem with her family getting a windfall for the county being allowed right of way on her property. None of her supporters are willing to address the incredible sums of money spent by Anderson County defending her lawsuits. Joey Preston has his faults, as most people do, but at least people like him are interested in moving the business of Anderson County forward and not involved in attempts to further detract from what is a good county with good employees working hard to advance it. There should be a protest over the way WIlson and her cronies have highjacked government in Andderson County.
I mean the supposed $25,000 compared to Wilson's millions wasted, give me a break.

There are so many needy people who are supported and helped by AIM with people out of work, who want to work, with plant closings and slow downs and with the price of food increasing in what seems almost a weekly basis, myheart goes out to people who are going to AIM for help. There but for the grace of God... I am going to try to help, I hope others will do the same.

I so agree with songgirl. What is her disability? I wonder why she can't hold a job. I someone with a real disability who has been denied it always bothers me to find about people who are perfectly able to work but are abusing the system.

This is wrong. We should be expecting our children to work harder and not trying to make everything easier for them. If you want your child to have a better grade then you should work with your child so that their grades will improve, not try to find another way to water down the educational process. Grades should not be about how you feel but should instead be an honest evaluation of how you did.

Children with ADD are able to watch television and paly video games for extended periods of time because the skill set that are required for those activities are totally different from what is required for intereacting well in a classroomm setting. Television and video games supply ever changing images this stimulates the child with ADD.
Children who misbehave with add or adhd oftentimes have impulse control issues or anger management issues. Some of which can be addressed by properly setting limits and expectations at home. However, many children who are diagnosed with ADD are not undisciplined or "problem" children in the classroom. That is why many girls with add go undiagnosed until later grades. This disorder manifests itself in differing ways. While I would agree jbowen, that some disorders or diseases seem to have an unnaturally high occurence, it oversimplifies the issue to say that children just need good discipline to "cure" ADD or ADHD.
To those who suffer from fibro, my heart goes out to you. I think that aaekrb2425 did an excellent job giving us all some basic useful information on the topic.

I totally agree with sportsdad.
Not only is it difficult for the teacher,to deal with one or two unruly children who disrupt the classroom for all of the other children, think how unfair that is to those students who have a real desire to learn. Their opportunity to learn is being seriouls impaired by a few unruly children. While some children have diagnosed medical issues, oftentimes, these children just have not been taught any self control at home and do not have any repect for authority oftentimes because their parents have none. That was exhibited by this mother when she went into the school cursing and screaming.
If she had gone into any place of business behaving in this manner, she would have been arrested. Why should the school be any different? We need more parents who are willing to do something about thier children's behavior instead of making excuses for inappropriate behavior.

Finally, someone is standing up to Cindy Wilson. Enough of her. Thank you J. Brandon Grace for being courageous enough to stand up to this bully.
