Do you even know what the Civil Rights Act is...because the last time I checked, desegregating America didn't lower the White Man's standard of living. And what is this "American Way" that African-Americans, women, and other minorities were supposed to conform to? Segregation? Having to use a different bathroom or water fountain because of the color of your skin? Being denied a job because of your gender? Yeah, that's the "American way." The Civil Rights acts ended segregation in public places, schools, and employment. That's it. It doesn't say anything about lazy people or even poor people. Also, it has nothing to do with this article.

Berkowitz later admitted he made the dog story up for more attention. However, my neighbor's dog, who is left alone outside ALL night, barks incessantly and makes me feel a little crazy. It also makes my dog crazy, so...who knows...maybe you're onto something here...
