How wonderful it would be if this included people of all faiths.

Awone Rector is one of the kindest, most gentle women I know. She was a Girl Scout leader with my mom for many years, and I would trust my children with Awone any day. This was a terrible accident that has been blown greatly out of proportion by the media. I know many of your armchair physicians think that it takes "throwing a baby out of a ten story window" for this particular injury. It does not. I'll take your medical opinion when you've completed medical school. I do pray for the well being of this family and this child, but I am also outraged at the way Awone has been treated in the media. This woman has done so much good for this community, and now, the media and law enforcement has descended on her like a pack of wolves. Sadly, when this case has been resolved, I don't think we'll see quite so many stories on her acquittal.

The primary is June 10th. I know this because it is my birthday. Feel free to send me presents or just cash if that's easier. ;)
For cwilson04's birthday I think I'll get him a bigger piece of poster paper. Just a little joke cwilson.

In response to theWhig:
No,I don't think Ms. Rhoe did get quite this much attention. However, I was there when she was elected, and it was a happy, fun occasion where everyone seemed genuinely excited for Ms.Rhoe. I had some coffee and chatted with a lovely elderly couple from Salem. The reason I say this is that I want to emphasize the positive attitudes in our local Democratic party as opposed to all the trash talk and negativity lately I've seen in the local Republican party. The winds here they might just be a changin'.

You have obviously not read my posts. I'm in neither "camp," CAVE or Prestonista, both sides are wrong in certain aspects of this ongoing and increasingly frustrating struggle. What the CAVE or CAVED or whatever do not realize is that you do more harm than good to your cause. It is difficult for reasonable people to get behind such ridiculousness. In some ways Cindy and her cronies are the best thing that could happen to this administration you hate because they make the opposition look like a bunch of crazies who follow people around and take issue with EVERYTHING that comes out of Anderson County, legitimate and not. So, when questions arise that need to be addressed, crying wolf just doesn't do much. Also, Cindy and Bob have alienated the other councilpersons by their personal attacks (or attacks by their cronies) so that even with legitmate issues, no one wants to work with them for risk of being labelled CAVE. Like certain unsavory references you yourself have made that are not worthy of repeating. Though I do not think that personal vendettas in either direction are acceptable, I think one should take a stand when it's time to take a stand because sometimes your enemy is right, so I don't mean to excuse the rest of the council. They are wrong in this too. Nevertheless, it is reality and it is the rest of us that lose everytime.

RE: "The Bible is the only book that has withstood the test of time. Check it out."
Well I did check it out, and actually there are several religious texts that are older than the Christian Bible. One that I specifically enjoyed reading is the Bhadavad Gita from the Mahabharatan epic. It is significantly older than the Christian Bible and still very much in use today.
