Now, SSHM, you know that's my line. I do live in her district and tend to give Ms Floyd a hard time, but this guy is scary. It's always easy to say what you'll do, but getting it done is something else. I also like to see at least one Dem on the council as I don't think one party has all of the answers.

I'm surprised the LSU team was able to make it into the stadium on time for the game. We were there for the state fair(same block). We sat in the parking lot from 4:30 til 9 pm trying to get out. People trying to get in had the same problem. The LSU band didn't get in until the 2nd quarter. It was the worst traffic mess that I have ever seen. But I guess it didn't hurt LSU too much.

Sportsdad, I'm sorry but if any area of the medical field charged a reasonable rate, they might get paid. Aspirin $5, pap smear $200 plus $200 for 5 min with a doctor. Heaven forbid you have surgery. If we all charged figures in line with this, none of us would get paid. And I'd rather walk than have to use an ambulance. It goes on and on.

With the dry conditions we've had lately there seem to be 2 kinds of plants - invasive or dead. I'm starting to like invasive a lot.
Cj, instead of a green thumb, it sounds like you have green eyes. You also left out the truly invasive one on the list- Virginia Creeper. It's almost as bad as kudzu.

LG, thought you were moving out of Anderson, so why do you care? And what made you choose this subject for your comment? I think AU has gotten plenty of land to use and a wetland would stop them from being near someone's house.

AIM was probably trying to get the info out as quickly as possible. Instead of tearing the article apart, apppreciate what the people did and what it does for the university.
