JAFO. I can assure you I am not asking you to explain how the whole reporter thing works. Rather, I am more than willing to admit that I don't have all the answers when it comes to entertainment reporting so if the readers know of something they would like to hear more about, I welcome that. I believe in listening to the wants of the reader and want to provide comprehensive coverage.
I appreciate your insight into reviews, but the "Let's Do Lunch" feature is not meant to be a review. It's purpose is to provide people a bit of insight into a local eatery that a reader might have forgotten about or never been to. I think diners can decide, for themselves, if they like a place or not.
Thanks again for the kind and critical words about Upstate Be from everyone and please let us know if there is anything happening that might have ducked under our radar.

Dr. Johnson, I thank you for the kind words and the encouragement. I believe we are constantly working to expand our coverage as much as possible and hopefully providing a service to people - even if they only use it once a week or so.
To robert and JAFO, I appreciate your criticism and encourage you to email me with suggestions (viable ones of course) on how we can improve Upstate Be in the future. Perhaps you have items you would like to see covered or just have ideas on topics that would work in our entertainment tab. I would very much like to hear those.
Upstate Be is meant to be an entertainment supplement that comes in the paper and is distributed free throughout the Upstate. It's not meant to "replace" the news content. Just another way to give worthy entertainment in Anderson a voice.
Thanks again for your comments.

I, for one, will be there when they open, but I am sad to see them forced to move from a location that really seemed to suit them. I'm just glad they will still be here for us to enjoy. And you guys don't need to change a thing. Just do what you do well. See you on 81.

I tell you what DaddyO, I need to get to this show. I have been listening to Steve Miller since before I knew anything about music. That Greatest Hits album is still in my top 10 of all time. Have a great time and encourage others to get out there with you.

Actually, Kathryn Smith at the Cancer Association had a great idea to give those coupons that are given out to their organization. It's a great idea and I am going to do that today. So, if anyone gets those coupons for a free anything from places, don't let them go to waste. Give them to a good cause.

I just hope there are more barbecuers next year. I have to say, there are some awesome bbqers around here that would make some great stuff.

I believe that JesterCo. and the Great American Rockin' Rib Rock Off organizers were responsible for the food vendors there as well as the local entertainment from the Battle of the Bands. They put together any stipulations as far as food was concerned.

Glad to see others are excited about this rib event. This is something Anderson has deserved for a long time and will add a new dimension to the BalloonFest. Here's to eating and eating well.

jwhigg. I want to let you know that the purpose of this feature is not to review a restaurant, but to let you know where one is in case you want to try it or didn't know it was there. We figure you can decide for yourself whether or not you like the food in a place or if you want to visit there. Thanks for reading and commenting.
