It is true that a zygote contains human DNA. It is two undifferentiated haploid cells. So any two united cells that contain human DNA are an individual being? In that case, I lose thousands of clumps of skin cells everyday that deserve equal protection under the law.
And again I ask, how is this any different than the embryos (much more developed than zygotes)that are created daily in fertility clinics?

If life begins with conception (union of sperm and egg)then why are fertility treatments (which unite sperm and egg multiple times and then lock the unused embryos away in a freezer) ok? Is that not the same thing? When those embryos are no longer viable, are the fertility doctors murderers?

How can you tell by someone's name whether or not they are a "real" American? At least she used her name to state her opinion and didn't hide behind a nom de plume.
So what last names are acceptable? Jones? Smith?

I have never complained about anyone's lack of experience because I would like to see politics become less of a career and more of a temporary public duty. That said, my problems with Sarah Palin have nothing to do with her experience and everything to do with the fact that her beliefs scare me, and I think she is overly confident for someone who seems to not have a clue. I mean, I can see Russia from here is ridiculous. I hope she can also see Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.

It is interesting that he emphasizes the boy's duty to pay and not the boy's duty to parent.
But I agree that anything that helps lower our teen pregnancy rate is ok by me.

Many of us want freedom FROM religion. You are free to practice any faith, but you are not free to impose upon the rest of us by legislating your faith.
