Some things to consider..why was the facility in Clemson (Central) allowed to continue operations? The shutdown will impact our tax base. What outplacement is being offered to the employees? Another 200 jobs lost in Anderson county..what happened to economic development? Additionally, Shaw Industries is owned by Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffet) however it is managed by rednecks in Dalton, Georgia. My guess is there were not enough hispanics to operate the facility at low cost.

Yes ....you can see Anderson's finest on parade. Give me a break. The Jockey Lot as a tourist destination? I have friends and family that have visted one time...and one time only. The place is hot and dirty, with poor quality merchandise, and otherwise a joke. If this is the best Anderson can offer tourist, Mr. Brill should seek employment elsewhere.

I would not want to work in this neighborhood. I agree vandalism will be high, robberies, theft etc. Face it people, this is not a nice area...no way I am letting my wife work at that facilty without armed protection. This entire area needs revitalization...I suggest a "start over" campaign.

What are we waiting for? Do we want to be in the same situation as Atlanta? We should implement mandatory water restrictions today. Poor, poor, poor planning. Wake up people.

Poor, poor planning and lack of fiscal insight into the constuction process. Obviously no contingency planning and no accountability.
