I like the "Best Of" section and for the first time in years actually heard people talking about the Anderson paper! I am not really a fan of the name "BE" though. When I see your certificate hanging in an establishment, I don't know that a lot of folks will know what "Best of BE" is and that it is a local award given by local citizens. You can keep BE but maybe rename the award or something.

I would also like to see the categories cleaned up or folks being given selections to choose from. A couple of examples.........one category read something like 'best beer' or something along those lines.....my wife voted "Coors Light!". She just didn't understand the category. Also, I saw where Kendalls won best boutique. Although it is a great store, it is not really a boutique by definition. I don't think Grey Fox is either but it came in second. Those are awesome stores with a great variety but a boutique is more strict to womens fashion. Just one area that seemed confusing.

Keep on this thing. That section generates a bunch of buzz. Too bad we found out about it 1 day before voting closed. It was a bit cumbersome to vote but I think there are ways you could find to improve it even more!

Great job.

Great restaurant. Doesn't do the 'buffet' thing but keeps quality very high. The only place to go for quality Chinese food in town.

Downtown is becoming a great destination. Park your car, shop, eat, drink and enjoy live music. We are very fortunate to have these folks making such an investment in town. It is up to Anderson to support them. I hope we can make it all work!

Something more to this. Downtown was established and succesful. Roads almost complete. I will doubt they ever pull the numbers there that they did downtown. Heck, they were in that location before and moved! Dig deeper on this one and it doesn't add up. Best of luck to the next restaurant to take its space!

Clemson just got $4mm lighter in the wallet. Not to mention the next guy will want $2mm per year. All good investments in this world of College Football. Very expensive business. If you win the conference and get the BCS invite, you get enough to cover that in one paycheck from the bowl!!

No communication from the City whatsoever. Shutting down the main artery to downtown during the start of the peak season is GENIOUS! Summer is the down time but nothing was started then. I am sure it will look great but shutting down business for a month in prime season is unforgiveable. Shame on whoever coordinated this.

those meetings are just for show anyway. Anything that really MUST have that 1 vote or else it will or won't pass would be attended by the members. If you honestly think something gets accomplished inside those chamber meetings you are mistaken. What does the City do anyway other than collect taxes and water fees? Oh and dig up downtown shutting local business down for weeks. Stop trying to jump on a good guy that has done a lot for this town. You are really blowing this out of proportion. If you don't like him, run against him. It's the American way. If his attendance is always so poor, why hasn't anyone beat him? Go file when it opens up!

No interceptions my man. Stafford is looking very good this year. Add to the mix AJ Green from SC and you will see several 300 yard games this year. Dogs O is loaded! Only one turnover for UGA was a fumble by a freshman RB on his first carry.
